SWAMPSCOTT — Firefighters and police officers responded to 59 Danvers Road on Monday afternoon to pull a man through the windshield of his white Toyota Tacoma after he drove off the road, flipping his truck over.
Swampscott and Salem police cruisers and fire engines blocked off a portion of Danvers Road close to the Swampscott Quarry as EMTs evaluated the man.
“He just hit the side of the road and rolled up,” Swampscott Police Sgt. Matthew MacDonald said.
Swampscott Police officer Kevin Reen said the man was conscious and alert when firefighters pulled him out of his truck at approximately 1:30 p.m.. He said the man suffered minor injuries and would likely be sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
Reen said that as of 2:30 p.m., police had not yet determined the cause of the rollover.
