You know what I’ve been thinking? Across the last seven days, Logan Lomasney has been on some kind of mission.
The Peabody girls basketball star did it all in a 3-1 week for the Tanners, who beat Salem, Lynn English, and Gloucester, but fell to Lincoln-Sudbury.
When looking at box scores, Lomasney’s statistics pop out – as if from a video game.
Lincoln-Sudbury: 17 points, 11 rebounds, 7 blocks
Salem: 26 points, 10 rebounds
Lynn English: 31 points
Gloucester: 23 points, 13 rebounds, 5 steals
Better yet, Lomasney’s performance against the Fishermen gave Peabody (10-4) its 10th win and state tournament berth in Division 1 (MIAA).
But to head coach Stan McKeen, Lomasney’s performances were nothing new.
“She has been an incredible player for four years,” McKeen said.
Lomasney and company have five games remaining in the regular season, starting Tuesday night at Marblehead High (5:30 p.m.).
Logan, good week.
