You know what I’ve been thinking? One win is good, two is even better, and three is something else.
Daniel Padley of St. John’s Prep’s winter track team put on a show in the Catholic Conference Championship held at The Track at New Balance in Boston last Wednesday.
The Eagle went home with the Most Outstanding Runner award – and for good reason.
Padley, of Danvers, sported three first-place finishes in the mile (4:25), 1K (2:33), and 4×800 relay (1:56.7).
The Prep won the meet with 155 points, while the freshman/sophomore team won its division with 64 points. Xaverian scored second in varsity (127), while Catholic Memorial did so in the freshman/sophomore division (28).
Padley is just a junior, so expect a few more writeups across the next year or so.
Daniel, good week.
