The Swampscott High School Athletic Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Brittany Coppinger as its new varsity softball coach. Coppinger brings softball coaching experience at various levels, including as a junior varsity and assistant varsity coach for the Big Blue.
Coppinger has the innate ability to build a rapport with her players, motivate them, and has an obvious passion for the game. She has a love for the Big Blue, builds positive connections with the community, and is a firefighter in town.
She was selected from a talented pool of candidates. The screening committee was impressed with her knowledge and passion for Big Blue softball, as well as her involvement within the community.
Also, the committee was impressed with her understanding of the importance of team chemistry between players and coaches. We look forward to many successful years in our softball program with Coppinger at the helm.
