To the editor:

Fascism is gradually gaining more acceptance across the world. In Germany, its birthplace, there is a new political party, Alternative for Germany. It is in its early stages but has been defined by the highest courts to be a right-wing, fascist organization, and it is enjoying some wins in some state elections. And the world thought it had defeated fascism 78 years ago.

Now, here in the USA, it looks as if fascism might gain power. Hitler used demagoguery and suspicion of established government entities to arouse fear and doubt in the German populace. Trump is using the same tactics as he demeans and accuses our Department of Justice, our FBI, our federal and state courts, and the fundamental concept of fair elections. He rants against judges and intimidates court officers and potential witnesses. His MAGA followers are listening to him and are threatening elected officials, lawyers, and even ordinary citizens.  He is leading a full-scale war on our democracy.

If he wins the election for president this year be prepared for bloodletting, vendettas, full-scale destruction of established norms of good governing. The man is a psychopath and he has millions of sycophants. If you are a Trump supporter, you are one of these millions and you will destroy us.
