LYNN — In boys hockey action at Connery Rink, the Lynn Jets flew high with an 8-1 victory against East Boston on Wednesday.
Lynn coach Brian Boisson refused to comment after the game.

To say the Jets got off to a fast start would be an understatement. Freshman Riley Driscoll opened the scoring 29 seconds into the first period with a rebound effort just sneaking under the bar.
They didn’t stop there, tucking four goals on their first four shots on net.

The Jets led 5-0 with 3:22 to go in the second, and then it was time for senior captain Jayden Leblanc to do his thing.
The second came from Kyle Furlong right before a backhanded goal from Andres Lopez to make it 3-0 with 11:43 remaining in the first period.
He scored three straight (one in the first period, two in the second) to complete his hat trick and give the hosts an 8-0 lead midway through the second period.
Leblanc’s second goal came from Driscoll, who took out multiple defenders with dekes before sliding one to Leblanc.
Unfortunately for the Jets, East Boston struck on a power play with less than four minutes to play in the second period.
The third was scoreless on both sides as the Jets flew away with the victory.
