LYNN — A Lynn family is mourning the sudden loss of 5-year-old Grayson Moth.
Moth became ill last week with what was thought to be a common cold. However, his symptoms worsened, and when he began having severe breathing troubles, his family called 911.
Moth was ultimately transported to Boston Children’s Hospital and was diagnosed with RSV, a respiratory illness.
On Monday, his parents, Randy Moth and Sinoun Oth, made the decision to take their son off life support.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family pay for funeral arrangements and help the family.
As of late Wednesday afternoon, more than $7,800 had been pledged toward a $10,000 goal.
